Twitter users jubilate as Dalung, Shittu fail to make ministerial list
President Muhammadu Buhari’s new ministerial list sent to the Senate on Tuesday morning has sparked mixed feelings among Nigerians on social media.
WuzupNaija reports that the President sent the names of 43 nominees to the Senate for screening to be appointed into the new cabinet in his second term.
Although many are expressing mixed feeling over the list as they claimed most of the nominees are the regular politicians, the general feeling on Twitter indicates that a majority of Nigerians on the micro-blogging site are excited that former Minister of Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung and his counterpart for Communication Technology Adebayo Shittu were not re-appointed.

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to taunt Dalung and mock him over his boast just a month ago that nobody can stop his reappointment s a Minister by Buhari.
WuzupNaija reports that Dalung while speaking on the crisis in the basketball, athletics and football federations, and the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, during his tenure as minister, had boasted that his reappointment as by President Muhammadu Buhari is certain as it cannot be stopped by “any human being.”
With Dalung and Shittu’s exclusion from the new cabinet, Twitter users are praising Buhari for making a ‘good decision’.
See some of the reactions:
Dalung can go back to planting cocoyam for all I care. Thank God he’s not coming back.

Abubakar Malami and Lai Mohammed should have been part of the lot making their way to the door like Dalung and Shittu. Both of them were also liabilities in the first term, in my opinion

Tipped Fashola, Amaechi and Ngige to return and also Lai but Adebayo Shittu and perhaps Ambode would be in severe pain now lol

For a start, that Shittu and Dalong didn’t make #TheLIST is soothing.
