A social media post by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) celebrating a Nigerian man who adorns corporate attire to hawk bottled water in Lagos has attracted criticisms among Twitter users.

EFCC had taken to its verified Twitter page on Monday to celebrate Michael Iloduba as its pick of the week for its ‘young and legit’.

The antigraft agency through its #YoungandLegit celebrates young Nigerians who are engaged in legitimate businesses to encourage others to shun fraudulent acts. It had celebrated several young Nigerians in the past.

Michael Iloduba, the corporate water seller was its pick for this pick, to celebrate him EFCC posted his picture and captioned:

“Meet Michael Iloduba @AuthenticMiche3, the guy who dresses in corporate wears to sell bottle water called CORPORATE WATER. Not deterred by limitations around him, he is determined to make a difference.”

Well, many Nigerians on Twitter took exception to EFCC’s post, saying there is nothing to celebrate about what Michael does to earn a living.

Some argued that it is another way of celebrating, suggesting that in saner climes, the young man would be offered a good job to quit hawking.
