Tragedy struck at Marine Base, Port Harcourt in Rivers state on Monday as two cousins drowned while swimming in a river.

The duo identified as Wisdom and Goodluck aged 9 and 15 were said to have gone to the river to have a good time but never made it back home.

Their bodies were later retrieved and taken to the Nigerian Police Clinic, where they were confirmed dead.

Their death has thrown their family into grief.

A video emerged on the social media showing family members mourning over the death of the two cousins.
