In an amazing twist on Thursday, November 17, residents of Sokoto state pleaded with ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to return as Nigeria’s president.
The former Bayelsa state governor had visited the state to pay a condolence visit to the family of late Ibrahim Sultan who was pronounced dead and buried earlier this week.
But when he arrived the state, thousands of supporters were out on the streets with placards in their hands, pleading with the ex-president of Nigeria to return to the seat of power.
“Come back, Baba Jonathan”, “President Jonathan” were some of the people’s chant and the words written on their placards which they carried to herald the presence of the ex-president.
