UNICAL expels 300-level student over cult related activities
The University of Calabar has suspended Adeye Mathias Unimke, a student of the Department of Education Administration and Planning from the institution.
The 300-level student was suspended over an allegation of involvement in secret cult-related activities.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, Prof. Zana Akpagu approved the immediate suspension of the student from all academic activities in the University until further notice.
The suspension was contained in a statement signed by the University’s Registrar, Mr. Moses Abang.
Mr Abang directed that the student will remain suspended pending the conclusion of investigation by the Institution’s Students’ Disciplinary Committee.
The University warned the student to stay away from the campus except or unless responding to invitation by the Disciplinary Committee.
Vice Chancellor of the university had reiterated at various fora that there is no room for cultists in the University.
