Vehicle carrying woman and her kids fell into lagoon in Lagos suburb (photos)
Tragedy was averted early Friday morning at Alagbole area of Ogun State, located on the outskirt of Lagos, when an SUV driven by a woman fell into lagoon off the bridge along the road.
It was gathered that at the time of the accident, the woman was inside the SUV with her kids.
According to an eyewitness, a Twitter user, @Official_bolu, it took frantic effort from residents of the area to rescue the woman and her children from the dirty lagoon.

There have been reports of accidents along the Alagbole-Akute road since the construction company handling the bridge along the road abandoned works more than a year ago.
When contacted, the Chinese company blamed Governor Ibikunle Amosun for discontinuing funding of the project.
Recently, residents in the area had to use boats to transport themselves when major flooding hit the community due heavy rainfall.
