Eedris attacks Festus Keyamo

Ace rapper and social commentator, Eedris Abdulkareem, has attacked Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, for saying one does not need a WAEC certificate to become President in Nigeria.

The outspoken rapper questioned Keyamo’s law certification saying he wondered how a SAN who got to his level in the judiciary would tell Nigerians they don’t need a WAEC certificate to be the no one citizen of the country.

Abdulkareem further accused President Muhammadu Buhari and his supporters of misleading its citizens adding they “will kill our sense of reasoning”.

He also wondered why employers demand NYSC certificate, BSC, HND, OND and other qualifications to be gainfully employed.

“THE REVOLUTION OF REAL AND FAKE IS LOADING…

“After spending more than 3 years in the university, you’ll still need NYSC certificate to be gainfully employed, but a SAN who got to his level in the judiciary is telling Nigerians that you don’t need a WAEC certificate to be President of Nigeria.

“We must have sense by force. You see this Poverty President Buhari and his supporters are glorifying? It will kill our sense of reasoning in this country”.

Recall that WuzupNaija had reported that Keyamo the director strategic communications of Buhari 2019 presidential campaign said section 318 of the 1999 Constitution defines “School Certificate or its equivalent” to mean primary 6 School Leaving Certificate plus the ability to just speak, write, understand and communicate in English language to the satisfaction of INEC.

Abdulkareem continued;

“U don’t need WAEC to be a president but common work of #20,000, they will need WAEC, NECO, BSC and working experience. Who did this to Nigeria?

“NOW It All Down On Me Why Festus Keyamo Was Not Made SAN Until Buhari Came To Power…”

Meanwhile, Keyamo has argued that Buhari’s certificate is not in question because WAEC itself confirmed that the President passed his examination and was issued a certificate.

He said “There are other levels of qualifications to run for the office of President. In fact, if you have occupied the public office for a reasonable length of time, by the provisions of the constitution, you do not even need a WAEC certificate to become President of Nigeria”.

“It becomes extremely foolish for anybody who is not statutorily empowered to issue WAEC certificates to come and challenge the body that has the statutory power to issue certificates”.

In a bid to clarify his assertions, Keyamo said that President case is different from Senator Ademola Adeleke because the latter borders upon a forgery.
