Nollywood actress Ronke Ojo, popularly known as Ronke Oshodi Oke, has revealed a new perspective to deal with online trolls.

The actress, who noted that there will always be online trolls, said the best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them.

Speaking in an interview, Ronke Oshodi Oke said nobody talks about the dead.

“Nobody can bully me online because if one or two persons troll me, they’ll definitely troll another person in the next two minutes. It should be kept at the back of your mind that there will always be online trolls,” said in a The Punch report.

“So when it comes, you should know you have done the same because when you talk about a person, they’ll definitely talk about you. When it comes, just take it easy, calm down, and drink water. You can switch your phone off and switch it on the next day to continue with your life.

“People are dying every day; I did not kill anybody, so nobody can kill me. One thing should be kept at the back of our mind; if they don’t talk about you, you’ll never prosper in life. Who is talking about the dead now? They are talking about you because you are still relevant. Even if they are saying something bad about you, you should thank God for being alive for them to talk about you.”

Speaking about a disturbing trend in the industry where allegations are being made by upcoming actresses that filmmakers demand sex for juicy roles, the actress noted that the phenomenon was not peculiar to the entertainment industry alone.

“If a man asks you out and you are sure of yourself and you reject him, he will not force you. The director may not give you the role but with time, you’ll get to your destination,” the 45-year-old said.

“I keep telling people that the industry is very big now compared to when we came in. Some directors see it as an opportunity to go after the girls now because when they become stars, they won’t know them again. If there is no abuse, there is no rape. As long as it is only about asking them out, I do not see it as anything because any man can ask any girl out. If you ask me out and I refuse, then so be it. You just have to pray and work hard. It is like that everywhere.”
