Where is Amotekun? Nigerians ask as #OgunUnrest, #LagosUnrest top Twitter trends
Since the lockdown, cases of robberies and burglary have increased so much in the last few days in neighbouring towns between Lagos State and Ogun State.
This has led to #OgunUnrest and #LagosUnrest trending on microblogging platform, Twitter.
Many Nigerians have, however, taken to Twitter to ask for the whereabouts of Amotekun, a region security outfit that was flagged off by the six governours in the South Western part of Nigeria.
Some Nigerians stressed that if Amotekun is still in existence, its duty should also include tackling robbery cases.
