WHO AM I TO SPEAK AFTER BOLA TINUBU? Ambode asks during Jim Ovia’s book launch
The Lagos State governor, Akinwuni Ambode, has once again acknowledged that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu his is political “godfather” after he reportedly asked a cross-section of guests if he was qualified to speak after the Jagaban.
Ambode reportedly made the statement during the launch of “Africa Rise and Shine”, a book by the chairman of Zenith Bank, Jim Ovia, which made the audience burst into laughter.
According to the Cable, as he mounted the podium, Ambode acknowledged the dignitaries, saying he was not prepared to give a speech.
“Actually, I didn’t prepare to come and say anything here… And who am I to speak after the Jagaban has spoken?” Ambode asked.
The event which was held at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre was attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, governors of Delta, Akwa Ibom, Borno and Taraba states.
However, the Lagos State governor only shared a congratulatory message to Jim Ovia on his Twitter page.

Governor Ambode wrote:
“Congratulations to Jim Ovia on the publication of his new book “Africa; Rise and Shine”.
“I am certain that the wealth of experience shared will serve as a compass for young entrepreneurs who dare to dream and redefine the African narrative.”
Recall that there has been widespread news that Ambode and Tinubu have reportedly fallen apart, with the APC leader and other Lagos bigwigs said to be working for the emergence of Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu as the next governor.
