Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, has revealed why he plays football with so much passion.

Lukaku said he played with so much anger, because of the rats running around in their apartment and because of how the other parents used to look at him.

The Belgium international said that “I wanted to be the best footballer in Belgian history, That was my goal, Not good, Not great, The best“.

In an interview with The Player Tribune, the Belgian professional footballer said,

“I played with so much anger, because of a lot of things … because of the rats running around in our apartment … because I couldn’t watch the Champions League … because of how the other parents used to look at me.

“I was on a mission. When I was 12, I scored 76 goals in 34 games.”

Lukaku scored a brace for Belgium’s World Cup opener against Panama on Monday as they won 3-0.
