Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni Makanaki has bared it all about her childhood and family life in an interview with Bolanle Olukanni on Ndani Tv’s ‘The Juice’.

Asked by Bolanle why she is fondly called Makanaki, Teni revealed that she loved the swiftness of the Cameroonian footballer of the same name. Cyrille Makanaky is a Cameroonian retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.

She spoke about how she used social media not only for social networking but also for boosting her music and keeping in touch with her fans.

The ‘Uyo Meyo’ crooner and hitmaker also recounted her childhood days in her polygamous family, how her sister Niniola coached and help her musical career and how she used social media as a tool, to promote her music and many more revelations about herself.

According to Teni she entered an agreement with her mother to finish her tertiary education before embarking on music full time. She also revealed that most of what she has known in music was taught her by her sister and colleague Niniola.
