WHY WAS SENATOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE ABSENT? Nigerians query PDP’s absence at #OsunDebate

Well-meaning Nigerians on Twitter have questioned Senator Ademola Adeleke’s absence during the just-completed debate for Osun State governorship candidates organised by Channels Television.

Many expressed their disappointment at his absence and opined that the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate does not have any concrete plan for the people of the state.

Some Twitter users opined that Adeleke who is known to be a “hot stepper” was absent because “after all, it’s not a dancing competition.”

Meanwhile, some shared some videos of Adeleke doing his thing (dancing) while attending several social functions.

One Twitter user @obicharles11, wrote;

“Senator Adeleke is absent in #OsunDebate

“This means he doesn’t feel the need to explain to the people of Osun his plans&actions of reforming the state

“He has nothing to offer but dance his way into office so as to squander our money

“He is disrespectful, & no apology can mend this.”

Another user wrote, @Chief_OG_Karo, wrote

“Senator Adeleke knows that those who will vote for him are not those watching the TV right now, they are the people on the road he will distribute 2k each and will go mass on that day to vote. Don’t just get your PVC, use it! #OsunDebate.”

Meanwhile, the governorship candidates are Fatai Akinbade, African Democratic Congress (ADC); Moshood Adeoti, Action Democratic Party (ADP); Gboyega Oyetola, All Progressives Congress (APC); Ademola Adeleke, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Iyiola Omisore of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

All candidates were present for the #OsunDebate except Senator Adeleke.

Recall that music star, Davido was in his hometown to garner support for his uncle in the September 22 election.

He shared photos of the large turnout of youths during the campaign oh his social media handles.
