A woman has died in Delta State moments after she was allegedly hit in the head with a stick by a pastor she was trying to stop from fighting.

It was gathered that the deceased, Irene Thompson Kupa, met her unfortunate death while trying to settle a fight between one Kenneth Lupor Mukoro, who is said to be a youth pastor of Winner’s Chapel in the state and his neighbour.

The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Sunday at Aruorho Quarters, in Otu-Jeremi (Otughievwen), Ughelli South council area of Delta state, The Nation reports.

The nature of the disagreement between Mukoro, a law graduate of the Delta State University (DELSU) and his neighbour could not be ascertained as at press time.

However, it was gathered that the victim, an Isoko indigene also from the state, was hit on the head with a piece of wood while trying to make peace between the duo.

Kupa, who was reportedly rushed to the Otu-Jeremi General Hospital before being referred to another one in Warri, sadly could not make it, as she died on the way to the hospital.
