A man who was accused by his wife of engaging in extramarital affairs escaped death by a whisker after the woman made attempts to kill him in his sleep.

The wife simply identified as Mrs Ummadu allegedly tried to kill her husband by stabbing him twice while he was asleep.

It was gathered that the incident happened in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

The tragic incident was revealed by a friend of the husband, Chinonso Chibuogwu, who visited the victim at the Federal Medical Centre in Owerri where he is currently battling for survival.

Chinonso shared graphic images of the man on his Facebook page.

According to Chinonso, the enraged wife attempted to kill her husband over suspicion that the man is having romantic affairs with a side chick.

Frustrated by the development, the wife took laws into her own hands, stabbed the man two times while sleeping but he managed to wake and escape.

Chinonso wrote:

“Hmmm! Just visited my friend Mr Jude Mmadu from FMC owerri this morning. His wife tried to kill him because she suspected that he has a side chic somewhere. Thank God after stabbing him twice as he was sleeping, he managed to wake up and escape.

“Just yesterday I talked about it. Nd? husband be careful this year because the spirit of ‘stabbing’ is seriously roaming about and those about to marry, you better put it on hold first (maka nd? g?) till we’re able to organise special prayer for this new development. ??

“I know cheating is not the only sin in this world and men are not the only people cheating,,, don’t allow yourself to be used (the stabbers) because of what follows it. Cheaters and Stabbers Beware!!!”
