Oprah Winfrey at 75th Golden Globes awards

The 75th Golden Globes award held in Beverly Hills on Sunday has been described by many as dominated by ladies as speeches and statements aimed at healing the effects of sexual harassment scandals which hit the industry recently took center stage.

The dress code for some stars at the occassion was black, to honour victims of sexual harassment, since it was the first major Hollywood awards ceremony after the scandals.

Oprah Winfrey summed up the mood, saying “a new day is on the horizon” as she collected an honorary award.
