Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba has cautioned internet sensation Hushpuppi over his social media post condemning Nigerian celebrities and his South African friends for not speaking up against the ongoing Xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa.
The Malaysian-based Nigerian had taken to his verified Instagram page to condemn the killings of foreign nationals in South Africa and also slammed his South African friends for keeping mum.
He also shared a series of videos on his Insta story where be lambasted and cursed Nigerian celebrities for not speaking up like they did during the Busola Dakolo rape saga and other trending topics.
“Nigerians do you see your South African friends and celebrities post against xenophobia?
“Yeah right, they are all the same, they don’t care about us when the lives of our people get taken by their people but want to say something about Nigerian jollof and other irrelevant discussions.”
In his reaction, 2Baba described Hushpuppi’s outburst as uncalled for.
He wrote in the comment section of Hushpuppi’s post:
“This is absolutely uncalled for. There’s a real sad problem here. It is a good thing for you to speak about it but don’t start turning celebrities to being the problem cos they are not.
“If you want to fight for your people it’s fine, you don’t have the right to harass another person for not speaking up YET cos you don’t live in their heads. You don’t know what plans they have, you don’t know what’s going on in their hearts. Pls let us be guided. One love.“
