2019 Elections
‘You Ja Ekiti Gba,’ they have ‘Ja Ogun Gba,’ Fayose mocks Amosun after Dapo Abiodun’s victory
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has sent a “mockery” congratulatory message to the outgoing Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun, after the loss of his anointed candidate in Saturday’s governorship election.
Fayose said Amosun has now joined the losing club after he had forcefully supervised and funded the rigging of Ekiti 2018 election.
The outspoken also mockingly said “YE Ibikunle Amosun, pls join us as we battle our orchestrated ‘loss’ at the tribunal. What goes round has come round. You “Ja Ekiti Gba!”, they have “Ja Ogun Gba.”
Amosun’s candidate, Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) lost the governorship election to Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abiodun polled a total of 241, 670 votes to defeat his closest rival, Akinlade who polled 222, 153 votes.
Fayose who was apparently gloating took to his Twitter page and wrote:
“I congratulate Gov ibikunle Amosun for LOSING the guber election of his political son, Adekunle Akinlade of APM.
“He can now join our club, having forcefully supervised & funded the rigging of Ekiti 2018 election by the same Prof Abdulganiyu Raji who served as REC in both states.
“YE Ibikunle Amosun, pls join us as we battle our orchestrated ‘loss’ at the tribunal. What goes round has come round. You “Ja Ekiti Gba!”, they have “Ja Ogun Gba.”
“YE, please remember to congratulate HE. Dapo Abiodun o. My name is Ayo Fayose.”
