A Nigerian lady has received a series of backlashes from social media users following her face-off with a driver of one of the cab-hailing services in Lagos.

The lady had taken to her Instagram page @pearlhotti to share a video of her row with the driver on Monday before it was amplified by Instablog9ja where she was lambasted for being rude.

She wrote:

“I ordered for a ride and I and my friend was rushing to the airport to pick up a friend. So my friend was at the Lekki toll gate and I was at VI. We were to meet up together, so I told my driver to speak to her driver that they are at Lekki 1 toll gate and he should tell them the nearest place to meet up and I handed him my phone.

“Mistakenly he told them to meet us up at Lekki toll gate, I laughed and said ‘Oga your head is not there,’ uncle got angry and started shouting, told me that do I look like his name, I was like oga why you dey vex you no see say I dey laugh with you.”

In the viral footage, the angry driver was seen lashing out at the female passenger, accusing her of insulting him.

He accused the lady of telling him his “head is not there.”

During the row, the man ended her trip and told her to get out of his car.

Probably hoping to get accolades for her act after sharing the video on social media, she received backlashes from social media users and has since blocked her IG account following the negative reactions her post attracted on social media.

A social media user, @marian_okolue wrote:

“Listen that man did not just start insulting you dear something started the fire now you’re asking him what did you say as what, abeg I can’t be a party to an idiot, I’m allergic to bullshit.”

Another IG user wrote:

This driver is also a human being, someone’s father and husband and son and well. Just because he is driving you should not abuse him. This is how he feeds his family. Please let’s be kind to all humans. Nothing is permanent in this life. What you give today, you get tomorrow. Let’s be guided please.”
