Pandemonium in Abia community as youths set man ablaze for killing wife [Graphic photos]
There was pandemonium in Nkporo community, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State on Monday as some irate youth lynched a man and thereafter set him ablaze for killing his wife.
According to an eyewitness Prince Dan Iyke who shared the story and photos from the incident on his Facebook page, the man identified as Kalu Ilum of Etitiama Nkporo shot his wife Chichi around 7 am on Monday.
It was gathered that the man had been threatening to kill his wife before he eventually took the action on Monday morning.
An eyewitness said when the wife’s family tried to settle their differences, he allegedly told them he would shoot her and nothing will happen.
Attempts by the wife to walk out of the marriage due to domestic abuse were also met with stiff resistance by Kalu who was said to have sworn to kill her if she tries it.
He reportedly shot Chichi two times and then jumped into a well to evade the anger of the youths.

Kalu was said to have been cajoled by the youths to come out of the well, after which he was lynched by the waiting mob and later set ablaze.
The irate youths also demolished Kalu’s house after lynching him.
